Matthew 6:9-13
" 9 Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."----------------------------------------------------------------------
On this page, I will be doing Bible journaling. It's mostly for myself to get all my thoughts and notes together in one place, but all are welcome. The Bible that I'm using for my study is "NKJV - The Woman's Study Bible"
I'm not into discriminating other Bibles. We can always learn and cross-reference other Bibles, and with a high level of discernment, we can also use other books to seek knowledge. But we should always use the Bible as our main reference. The point of the Bible is to receive God's Word. God's Truth. We are all on this Earth to transform ourselves to God's way of Life.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
- (John 14:6)I always ask the question if I know enough of what I'm supposed to know. Do I know enough for Jesus to be proud? Or am I just blissfully unaware of everything else that needs to be done?
Like many, I am luke warm. I don't study as much as I need to; I don't always do everything Jesus calls us to do, and I regret it every time. I know that many times "life happens" but isn't that just an excuse? The devil hinders our progress every day.
You always hear other people say, "it's not that hard" and "you just need to make time for it". It's so hard to get into the motion of doing so. It's so hard to be motivated when others around us aren't, but sometimes it's US that have to be the motivation for others.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
" 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see."
I've been watching some of Bryce Crawford's videos on YouTube and came across his Proverbs series. Although I am having a hard time reading the Bible at least once a day, I found his videos to be helpful. Of course, the excuse of "life happens" still has only gotten me to chapter 10 and I technically binged them over 2 days rather than once a day
I have the problem of being motivated to study, studying 2 days straight, then not studying for like a month. I often wonder if I have enough of the holy spirit and that's why I am not feeling starved for spirituality, but that doesn't make sense. I'm literally just eating enough to satisfy me, but not enough to satisfy God.
Like a chef who cooks for people to enjoy his food, God is providing spiritual food, but we sometimes think "I need to watch my figure" and then stop eating. We don't need to. We can never over eat God's words. There is always a new taste that we've missed. It's always been there, but now our taste buds have realized this new flavour.
